Newett Homes Supports Local School for World Book Day
At Newett Homes, supporting the communities around our developments is incredibly important to us, which is why we were delighted to celebrate World Book Day with pupils at Barlby C of E Primary School.
To mark the occasion, we donated £200 to the school to help purchase new books, supporting reading and learning for the children. World Book Day is a fantastic initiative that encourages young people to develop a love of reading, imagination and storytelling – something we were very pleased to support.
Ella Stones visited the school on the day and was welcomed by pupils dressed as their favourite book characters. From classic storybook heroes to modern favourites, the creativity and enthusiasm on display made for a brilliant atmosphere and some fantastic photos.
With our Clifton View development located nearby in Osgodby, it was a great opportunity to connect with the local community and contribute in a small way to an initiative that benefits the children directly.
At Newett Homes, we believe that building strong communities goes beyond the homes we create. Supporting local schools, charities and community groups helps us stay connected with the areas where we build and ensures we are making a positive difference wherever possible.
We would like to thank everyone at Barlby C of E Primary School for welcoming us and for allowing us to be part of their World Book Day celebrations. We hope the new books will be enjoyed by pupils for years to come.
